Does that mean Uzzie can play tonight? If so may, help the Heat's cause....

Interesting to read Hazlewood has an injury, one he sustained bowling in the SCG test, over a month ago....and now it rules him out of the 1st test...surely if there were any lingering doubts, especially knowing existing injuries with Starc and Green, why is Hazlewood even in India?

If Cummins or Boland go down, then Aust fast bowling stocks will be very thin indeed. Rusty Starc, rusty Green, Hazlewood with a tender achilles and Morris coming off no red ball cricket since Dec.....can see this going pear shaped pretty quickly. Not sure the selectors are thinking logically here...but hey when do they ever do??

Makes you wonder why they took Hazlewood to India in the first place if he has been injured since the Sydney test?

Injury prone going back to the heavy schedule a couple of seasons ago and hasn't strung much game time together since
but we've got a little look at the reserves stock as a result and had to use some of it too
any more fall over then we'll see Morris getting his cap
or a Plane arriving

Absolutely staggering 3 days out from the 1st Test in India to hear Hazlewood has an achilles injury sustained in the Sydney Test (which had more rain than actual play).
FFS put him back on the plane to Sydney and get him fit and ready for the Ashes series in England starting in a few months.
It was also interesting to read that apparently in the last 2 years Hazlewoood has only played in 4 Tests, but then that is about the same time he increased his workload (and bank balance) by playing T20 cricket around the traps!

looks like it may not matter much mate - forecast to be a turning Nagpur wicket and therefore 3 Indian spinners to contend with straight up
this one will be a very good toss of the coin to win

Yep, selectors have made some very strange decisions over the years. Best place for them is the Shield, until going to England for proper practice before the  'urn'.

The Indians are up their tricks again with a “special “ treatment to the pitch.

Sprinklers on working on certain parts of the wicket.
Funny that.

It doesn't surprise anyone does it? Thats half the challenge of touring India - get sucked in by the mind games and don't perform because you are expecting the pitch to do things.

If postman pats pick's the right call at the toss, we are halfway there and they struggle. In India if you bat first you tend to win more than you lose

Me for one i like matches played on wickets where batters need to bat properly, not rock onto the front foot and hit through the line
