The only Tests that are reasonably well attended nowadays are the Boxing Day games at the MCG

Football attendances are going downhill fast as well
The Adelaide Test is actually always well attended too mate they actually make it a real State event, with a carnival like atmosphere, with activations happening behind the stands and outside the iconic Adelaide Oval for all 5 days.

I have always thought we should do similar here but alas our illustrious WACA CEO wasnt even at work during and in the lead up to the Test completed here just recently.
Probably too busy with the Perth Scorchers womens team no doubt!

The big saver for WA is the ratings over east, most people in NSW, Vic etc can come home after work and watch cricket on TV until 9 their time. Thats a rating bonanza for channel 7

Perth get the first test of the season against an average team and it starts on a bloody Wednesday, so 3 working days and all over on the Saturday, no wonder few could attend in what is a very busy time of the year both work and personal life wise.

Adelaide get the day-night test, starts on a Thursday arvo so many can see at least half a days play after work, then Friday many would have taken a long lunch at the cricket and watch the whole days play, so cant do crowd comparisons on that basis.

Maxwell is a NSW dinosaur and should have been pensioned off years ago. Would have been a great supporter of the WW2 Brisbane line I bet.
