I wonder if JL keep his role as Aussie coach?  The eastern states Mexicans are gunning for him and the captain had a chance to endorse him as well, but didn’t do so.  The New South Wankers may have done England a favour….they’ve just got rid of their coach.  It’s not beyond the realms of possibilities that he could be in charge of the English team that takes back the ashes.

JL's old school coaching and fitness regime .Is no longer wanted by the Captain and players.
Even the likes of Greg Chapple questioned the need for a coach at all.Just another Eastern stater in line to dump on Langer.
Last Thursday JL had a meltdown. So it was only a matter of time.He walked before he was pushed.
Jeez I hope England, who are coachless pick JL up.We should expect a slight decline in Australias performances from now on.

No matter what you think of Langers coaching philosophy and methods you would have to agree that he has been treated abysmally in this situation. When you remember the circumstances that he took over the job after the ball tampering fiasco in South Africa, he has turned the culture of the team around to the extent the team now behave in a sporting manner but still get the results that they have achieved over the last 6 months. It does appear that the players have decided that they don't want him as coach so this appears to have driven the happenings to a large extent.

Absolutely disgraceful treatment of JL by Cricket Eastern Australia, they just couldn't deal with a no east coaster who brought discipline and pride back into the Australian cricket team. Coaches are there to coach, not be the players best buddies which is what some of the senior squad seem to want. The fact that CEA couldn't make a decision after days and days of meetings shows they are totally dysfunctional. I now hope that England swoop on JL with a big fat long term offer and he leads the pomms to victory in the next ashes series, that may be sacrilege to some but I would love to see what CEA has to say if that were to happen.

Gee you would hope Cricket Eastern Australia's media pack of clowns in Conn, Morris, Maxwell etc pile on the new coach (who will no doubt be their NSW buddy Trevor Bayliss)  and the NSW players in Cummins, Starc, Smith, Warner, Lyon etc who have driven this if the performances results are poor the way they have on Langer who has been winning for the most part bar against India!

Brad Hardie just said a significant poll by The Herald Sun (Melbourne rag) showed 83% support for JL.

Is this the Australian Cricket Boards Eddie Jones moment? Will we see JL get poached by England and turn them into a powerhouse. Been done before when Rod Marsh turned them into a dominant force.

So it appears that Cricket Australia offered Langer a short term extension which included an opportunity to defend the T20 world cup in October but with no guarantees going into 2023. He was originally contracted till June anyway so it is hardly a ringing endorsement.

Wonder if folk will move on pretty quickly, if Aust come away with a win over Pakistan.....Obviously JL would of liked longer and deserved longer, especially after recent Aust results....but 4 years is a decent term in regards of longevity, especially in cricket, where three formats make the role of the coach a demanding one....be amazed if JL took on the Eng job.....they travel far more then Aust have over the past few years.....not sure Mrs JL would be keen.

If I was a betting man which I'm not, I'd say Langer told CA he wanted a long term contract or he'd walk knowing full well that the Poms are waiting in the wings. With all the uncertainty over the last few weeks, you'd think Andrew Strauss would have been in close contact for a while now. Coaching the Poms would offer a pretty decent life style and he could get tips off Eddie Jones on how best to do it.
