Jeremy McGovern has re signed for 5 years at a reported $5 million. Must be happy with the Eagles

Be interesting to see if they can hang onto Gaff and Lycett.

Think most people would be happy getting paid a million bucks a year for kicking a footy around.....well done on the fella for turning his career around from a dodgy beginning and staying loyal for WCE showing the faith

Going to be interesting with Gaff and Lycett, my guess is, by the size of the contract and length, Gaff is going, not sure about Lycett because now he will be the number one ruckman so may accept the offer. McGovern has played this out very well indeed and good on him.

Yeh people forget it wasn't long ago he was labeled as soft for running off the ground often after getting hurt. He did have a dodgy shoulder and being a defender it seemed to happen everytime he we went for the spoil. Maybe he thought f#ck it I'll give this soiling bullshit away and just start clunking them.

Yep...agree with your comments around Gaff JB. You'd think he'd command similar money and that'll be tough to manage under the salary cap...maybe they can get a few hints from Subi.

Gaff could be a handy in at Subi if their injury list gets any worse.

Another massive win to the Eagles and more obviously a massive snub to the dockers.

Not quite sure what you are saying Bazza, think the kid put one over WC and got a real overs deal. Maybe the Dockers dodged a bullet with this one.

The talk is that he was offered the same dough at Freo plus a 7 year deal. He knocked it back because he was concerned at the culture there and Lyon’s coaching plan, or should I say, lack of plan.
As for Lycett, he must be a priority signing now. horrible as it is, there’s always the chance Nic will struggle to play on. Gaff - West Coast will find it hard to keep him because Melbourne clubs are prepared to offer anything up to 1.5 mill.
