Nic Nat must be wondering which God he insulted. The injury, like his other knee looked like a totally innocuous action. But I guess that if we look back at other knee injuries, they all look innocuous. It must be mentally taxing on a player to do a knee, but two must be devastating.

Was interesting to see their reactions. I think it was pretty late at night though like around midnight so they would have been up for a while.

Still though as you rightly pointed out anchor they talked about his recovery a lot last time which lead the media to have a more vested interest than the normal would. I think there was even a section in the Sunday Times maybe called Naitanui Watch.

You don't wish this on any player but it will be interesting to see how he comes back from this. At 28 ears of age, he will be almost 30 by the start of the 2020 season and you would think his days predominately playing in the ruck are behind him.

Ruckmen are usually hitting their prime at this age Mr AFL.

Yes but not really ones that have had two knee reconstructions and only played 13-15 games in three seasons.

I have no doubt he will get back but I reckon he will have to play mainly as a forward with limited time spent in the ruck.

He will come back as a ruckman mate that is his position. Shaun Rehn came back well after a couple of knee recos from memory.

I guess we will wait and see BH.

There’s no doubt this playing group lift with Nic in the team but in saying that Lycett is probably better than most No 2 ruckman going around and showed in the last half Sunday that he can hold his own against the best ruckmen in the comp.
He didn’t allow Grundy to dominate.

Imo what this means when Nic does come back and is up for a new contract his worth will not be the same as what it would have been if he wasn’t injured.
This could mean more in the pot to throw at the 3 uncontracted players.
I’d prefer other ways to find the cash but sadly that’s footy and I reckon Nic will recognise that.

I think everyone has forgotten how Vardy lifted the last time he was needed. 66 hit outs and 16 disposals last week indicates he might be ready to step up again. Must admit - I'm bit of a Vardy fan.

Agree Vardy is good around the ground takes marks and kicks goals anfd Lycett is pretty good also.
