Not sure who picks the best players but Fraser Mcinnes was the best player afield by a long shot, according to the wafl site he didn't make the top 5 but .......
The game was, well not what I expected from a WP side that should have had a lot of confidence coming into the game especially after wcer inept performance the week before but somewhere along the road from up north something happened. WP tried but when you have such star players as number 37 dropping easy marks, kicking out of bounds from 35 out and just being outplayed by a former team mate it trickles down to other players as one WP supporter said he could not kick the skin off of a ......... . The WP player should have taken a leaf out Keegan Knotts play book cos not only did he play well he riled a few wcer feathers by being an annoying little (insert own word here).
The third quarter was simply pathetic and with some respect for the AFLW neither team could have beaten a team from that competition. Having said that for the other three quarters the wcer really did dominate the game.
For me the better players where Tom Gorter, Julian Ameduri, stan wright (not many possessions but worked hard in the packs) and callum Hart. As I said earlier McInnes was best afield.
For the wce part of the process Brander is going to be a very good player and one to watch.
