Phew, that was close!

A much enjoyable game of tough contested footy.
It certainly is nice to have everyone on the field.
I am looking forward to playing Geelong at Simonds in Round 4.
With Melbourne and the Saints next. Bit of a soft draw.

LeCras looking great but for me Shuey was best. Just so much intense defensive pressure. He was almost everywhere, not necessarily getting possessions but causing turnovers. Good to see.
Bulldogs woeful, I expected a bit more then that.

Was a good game. The pressure was outstanding, reminded me of the Dockers really. Bulldogs were woeful, which probably made our pressure look a lot better than it was. Still making a few poor decisions and execution wasn't the best, but hey it was round 1, definitely more positives than negatives and worlds apart from some of the displays dished up at the end of last season. Well done boys. Now to keep backing it up.

I would have said Rosa was best, he was everywhere. Played that wing perfectly and wasn't just running one way, seen him deep in defence helping out a lot. Pushed hard both ways and was rewarded with a ton of touches.

Yea pretty happy with it all in all even though it wasnt the most exciting game to watch. Still lots to improve on too, JJK was horrible so looking forward to him finding some form.

Agree Anchorman, their handballs were shocking, especially when the handballs were missing their target and going to a player in a worse position. Sort of made defence look easy. Guess we will be able to see if our pre season = real season form in round 4 as shwaborn advised.

Season is 1 game old. Surely as a Docker's supporter  , you wouldn't be feeling that happy yet? I sure as hell want to see the WCE against some real opposition before I get excited.

Agree 58, though i do think the Eags have some depth there now.
