Can someone please explain to me the rationale behind West Coast's ddecision to swap pick 6 for pick 11.

Without trying to make it too complicated,i think this is how its sort of gone down.
The Eagles probably think they can get the player they wanted at pick 6 for pick 11 plus from the Collingwood swap they also get pick 31 which they will try and use for Yeo at Brisbane.
So if it all goes to plan they will get Yeo for nothing(using the Collingwood pick 31) and the Eagles still get to keep there other round 2 pick which they didnt want to give up.

The Eagles probably think there player at pick 6 will still be around at pick 11 and when you think this player is not in the top 5,Collingwood have picks 6 and 10 which part of the Eagles deal would have been dont pick this player,North Melbourne aready have used pick 8,the oddds are good that sheed(i assume is the player they want) will still be around.

This draft is not as good as previous years where giving up pick 6 was gold, the gap from pick 6 to about pick 12 or so is not great.

Clear as mud!
