There was WCE murmours last week, that Eagles were back to there best beating Essendon, still a chance for eight etc etc.

Well yesterday Essendon again showed that beating them is not a feather in anyones cap, and then Geelong gave the Eagles more than a reality check, with a comprehensive beat up all over the field.

Yes injuries, but all sides have them, and with them it gives the second tier players a chance to see if they are upto it.

So wondering why many a foreseeing writing this season off and then expecting a quick return to Premiership calculations next year, as on results and the bounce of the ball, and a few dubious frees Eagles won 3 games they could easily have lost,and be down in about 12th position.

A lot of key west coast players had bad preseasons and injury interupted seasons which has contributed. I think WCE are a top 8 side, but I dont think they are a premiership side.
