Max topped their goalkicking one year didn't he mate ?

There was a distinct WA presence at Fitzroy - John Ironmonger , Dean Turner , Kevin Taylor , Ian Miller , John Duckworth , Ian McCulloch , Laurie Richards

Ron Alexander played well over 100 games for the Fitzroy and was club champion in his last year there before heading back west for the 1982 season and bringing with him David Rankin and Colin Waterson.

Peter Keays was another who followed Big Ron over to Moss St.

And in the late-80s, early-90s there was Kevin Caton, Joe Cormack and Peter Sartori, Beas.
Being a devout supporter of the Royals and Royboys, I know of 22 blokes (some from many years ago) who played senior footy for both clubs.
Of course, that list ended in 1996.

Southerner:
actually mate there were a few notables I omitted to mention - Garry Wilson , David McMahon , Warrick Irwin , Rod Carter , Leon Harris ,
McMahon, in particular, was vastly underrated, while Irwin joined Collingwood but quickly returned to Fitzroy.
Harris, of course, is remembered for setting Conlan up for the winning goal in that 1986 elimination final.
"Tilt" Carter played his best footy for the Swans - one of those many players you mentioned that Fitzroy let go, Southerner.
And Wilson, an out-and-out champion as several here have acknowledged.

Brad Scott started at Hawthorn, gtrxuone, while Chris Scott began with the Bears.
Chris Johnson, Alastair Lynch and Martin Pike were former Royboys who played in all three Lions premierships.
Most of the eight players who went from Fitzroy to Brisbane as part of the "merger" didn't last very long.

Mark Norsworthy was one of Freeze's favourites AR :silly: he actually had a very good career in the SANFL in the 1970s & 1980s which like the WAFL was a very very strong comp at that time.

Daisy Williams ended up being a 2 time Essendon Premiership player & VIC rep after his EF sojourn which didnt last long, possibly a falling out with coach Smith at the time?

Jeff Cassidy was very dangerous around the goals one of those blokes that like Judgey could kick 3 or 4 majors in a qtr of footy.
