I just read disturbingly on a social media page that Media Tonic are no longer doing the Football Budget and atm there is no answer as to if anyone will pick it up. Anyone shed some more light on this?

If true, surely the publisher/ Wafl has a contingency plan in place.

and at one time the articles & around Australia league content was pretty well unmatched
there has been a few writers who have benefited greatly from the Budgie

Surely a Budget could be produced far more economically than the present glossy format and does not need to be presented in it's current size.
For me team lists and some general commentary is all that is necessary at WAFL level.

Agree Smokey it used to be a size you could fit into your back pocket without folding. I hated it when they made it much bigger, probably so they could sell more advertising space in it.

It's part of going to the footy to have a footy budget. Most times I miss out because I arrive around the start of the league and the pissy 300 or so they are given are gone.

Simple solution, don't include it in the gate price, maybe reduce the gate price and charge $3 for the budget. I'm happy to pay $3.
