I know for a fact WP will be playing Perth at Moora in round 21 10 Aug x WPFC

It will be a Perth Home game.
Had a look at the WAFL site and couldnt find any country games listed.
There will be a couple at least. Anyone else know of country games with their clubs?

Also I did hear it was a payback the WA V VIC State game is being played in Northam because of a AFL (Preseason game) being cancelled there ? Due to the condition of the ground? Not sure of that but maybe someone else can confirm it.

From FootyFacts

waflfootyfacts.net/venues.html

WAFL has been played on a total of 61 different grounds since 1898.

The following country towns have hosted at least one WAFL match.

Bruce Rock Busselton

Collie Newman

Albany Corrigin

Cunderdin Dampier

Denmark Dongara

Donnybrook Esperance

Exmouth Carnarvon

Geraldton Bunbury

Broome Northam

Jurien Bay Kalannie

Kambalda Katanning

Kalgoorlie Karratha

Kununurra Manjimup

Margaret River Wagin

Moora Mount Barker

Mukinbduin Newdegate

Newman Rockingham

Toodyay Wanneroo

Wickepin Wongan HIlls

Wafl in the rural areas.
West Australian Football League games have been confirmed for rural areas under the State Government’s Country Sport Enrichment Scheme.
Perth and Claremont will host the games in their respective country zones – the Tigers against East Fremantle in Kununurra on Saturday, the 29th of June, and the Demons will play West Perth as stated by Cardy (above).
The State Government had committed to supporting both games, with the 4500km return journey to Kununurra requiring funds above and beyond the prescribed CSES allocation.
The game at Kununurra’s Town Oval will be the first WAFL game in the town since the year 2000.
The game at Moora’s Recreation Sports Ground will be the first in the town since the inaugural CSES game in 1999 that was arranged as part of flood relief efforts in the area.
Players from the host clubs, along with umpires and other development staff will spend time at surrounding communities and schools in the days before and after each game to deliver additional benefits to the region.

Thanks WAG... Agree a great initiative. Good time of year to be at Kununarra as well. The Dry and a great place to be.
Now you didnt mention ABC are they going to do any country trips this year or is it outside of their budget. Suspect so looking at the current government. Seem to remember one they went away on?

Remember the Moora Flood relief game and it was a great success. Not that the farmers in Moora need much help always making a profit but that was a bad year.

Sorry Cardy - don't have the ABC TV Wafl schedule here. I know in previous years they have broacast rural games from Dampier, Port Hedland, the wheatbelt area and probably other towns I can't recall at this time. Would be great to see them broadcast one or both games this season.

Remember Neon Leon going on a run from the back pocket.

Ran inside 50, ran out of puff and missed the goal.

Bloody exciting run though.

Neon, Glassy, Bateman, Stevens, Hargreave, Kelly all taken in the 1999 draft.

Fraser Gehrig played for us that day as well against Swans. I think he kicked 5 goals in our victory. Pang also outstanding.

Of those 6 I think only Neon had played league prior to being drafted.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, memory is ageing.

Of course, the Colts won the premiership under Couper that year.

As far as I'm aware, both of the rural games will be starting at the normal time. Haven't heard anything different.
