Congratulations belatedly to South Fremantle great Bernie Naylor on finally being inducted into the Australian Football Hall Of Fame.....albeit 23 years too late!

And congratulations also to WP great Mel Whinnen on belatedly being inducted into the Australian Football Hall Of Fame.
Wow 2 West Australian Football greats being inducted on the same night but both should have been in there long ago.

Bernie Naylor the master goal kicker...torpedoes from every angle and rarely missed the goal. A much belated honour.
Mel Whinnen a great player who played forever. ? close to 400 games ? Well deserved honour to him also.

Brilliant stuff - both these guys thoroughly deserve their place right up there with the very best to have trotted out onto the paddock every Saturday arvo

It defies logic mate that WA blokes like Naylor & Whinnen with their astonishing playing records are going into the AUSTRALIAN FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME (it is not the VFL/AFL Hall Of Fame) 23 years after the first induction in 1996 and yet some ok VFL players went in long before those WA greats.
The list of WAFL greats pre 1987 that are still not inducted is quite staggering really!

BH two simple tasks for you:

(i) explain why there is not ONE SINGLE West Australian with no association with the VFL/AFL included as a LEGEND in the Hall of Fame.

(ii) compare and contrast John Todd and Kevin Sheedy.

Every show I’ve watched and every newsprint i read headline it with the 3 vicrorians, no WA mention in the headings. I think that says it all. Just another vic centric wankfest.
