Might be payback for a couple of GF losses.

Been a great day here and even better upon arriving home at 1630 and checking out the footy scores. Great to discover Subiaco winning today and South Fremantle performing the quinella.

At about 10 to 5 on the 9th of June is when you'll find out Freezin. And it's an Away game for East Fremantle too.

shark 58 -- I know what you mean, as it is a team game mate; but when you think about it, Clarke certainly played in one of those grand finals against us, and had he worn moorn and gold, he would have given the likes of Sheperd, Ryan and Della Hunty the help they requirred on the day -- as well as weakening Peel's following division at the same time.

Good to see you articulate the SOLE motivation of Subiaco's opposition to the number of AFL aligned players able to participate in the finals.

What were people doing in the olden days? Obviously not attending football matches?
Makes one wonder why play a game when no-one is there with an attendance of 0?

Swan 42 I am not sure they need more than one reason. In truth, the whole system is strange, as I am unsure if restrictions apply in a case where Fremantle and WCE make the AFL finals -- 'restrictions you have when your not having restrictions', perhaps?

Maybe Subiaco should apply for a 3rd WA licence in the AFL. Then they will have someone to play against when the WAFL competition is no more in a few years. Wellingham thinks they would already be competitive against the lower AFL teams at the moment.
