I just heard the news that Shane has been found dead at his Seville Grove home apparently committing suicide. What a terrible tragedy and waste of human life. A very talented player and the times I spoke to him a really nice guy. Unfortunately he went off the rails but will live in my memory as a terrific Subiaco footballer. RIP Yaz.

Just heard that myself and still in shock, he must of had some serious problems and fighting demons inside, what a waste to see this happen to a young man...RIP mate.

Incredibly talented player I was happy when he was drafted by Freo , and his talent showed in the few games he played for Freo he must of been in a very bad space to take his own life.

I remember the first time I saw him it was the 2015 Grand Final Subi V West Perth. Absolutely dominated and kicked 5 goals. I really thought he was going to make a big impact at AFL level. Really sad for him and his family and for the football public in general. It appears he was a severly troubled young man who despite the monumental efforts of the Subi Footy Club and the Dockers was not able to rid himself of the demons within. RIP Shane!

And what makes it even sadder, Yarran is a father to a small child too.

Shocking news. I can't really add to what's already been said. Very sad. Condolences to his family.

I was unaware that Shane lived just around the corner from me, drove past this afternoon to find the street absolutely crowded with cars and two police cars, figured someone must of passed away, but never realized
it was him , such a talented footballer.
Very saddened by the news.
