there is one simple way to bring back the high mark; players must kick over the mark from a free kick or mark. One could, of course, contine to hand ball in free play. Coaches would never support such a change as it would make most of them redundant; but it would fix the problems with the sport. Over time, I also think such a rule would improve the kicking skills, skills which have declinned in recent years.

2019 - The AFL goes bankrupt after overinvestment in AFLX and AFLW does not reap returns. Eagles and Dockers are disbanded.
2020 - A suddenly cashed up WAFC relaunches the WAFL with Armadale as the 10th side. Crowds average 15000 and everyone is happy. WA wins the relaunched State of Origin series. A full house at Perth Stadium for the WAFL grand final.

Im liking this,

Actually the sale of the Licences is something Id like to see as well.

You want to bring back the high mark ..... simples ....... make clones of Liam Ryan so every club has one and you'll have all the hangers you need.

Some say he changes the flood light globes at Leederville without a ladder.

2020...How about the re-establishment of a WAFL board and associated staff in charge of the WAFL competition, separate from the WAFC? And a WAFL draft to allow fringe or excess players from a club the chance to gain opportunities at another club, all part of a grand strategy to create an even, closely fought, exciting competition?
