Think the pile of mulch at leederville was planned for some type of commercial development like the dept of sport at the other end of the ground or the new Claremont oval. Anyway I would like subi to move back to subi to give the club a sense of location (something they have not had sense most of our suppoters drifted to the eagles in the late 80s), perhaps some sort of close association with the new school/football academy. Think of all those new young supporters and their families at the new Subiaco College being invested in some way with the SFC would give the club a solid future. Could adapt the eagles factlities to a great new club and some sort of commercial operation . Perhaps EP could also relocate (and do something similiar) and Leederville left for development ...$$$$ for the Govt and all is cost neutral

Oobi, SFC have a massive investment in Leederville so cant see them moving. We probably have the best club, player, medical and coaching facilities in the WAFL so why would you chuck that in. Leederville has good parking, maybe the best now that Perth have lost most or all of their eastern side parking area. It would have to be a very sweet deal to get the club to move. Also I don't think the state Govt own the ground I'm pretty sure it belongs to Vincent Council.

Mate I hardly call the small tilt up constructed stand at Leederville the best or state of the art, its dimensions and facilties are about good country footy standard, unless your inluding the old west perth members stand as well, if anything it looks a bit cheap and tempoary tbh, comparing that to what you could potentially inherit from the Eagles at Subi would leave Leederville for dead..

Yes your right Seagull but there would have to be some financial compensation and or deal to move and potentially free up Ledderville for some future development raking in the govt $10mil plus you would think.
Remember Colin barnett wanted to convert all of Subi into high density housing....no body, who has an attachment to subi oval wants to see that who has an attachment to the oval

2018 - WAFC sells Eagles and Dockers licenses back to AFL.
2019 - The AFL goes bankrupt after overinvestment in AFLX and AFLW does not reap returns. Eagles and Dockers are disbanded.
2020 - A suddenly cashed up WAFC relaunches the WAFL with Armadale as the 10th side. Crowds average 15000 and everyone is happy. WA wins the relaunched State of Origin series. A full house at Perth Stadium for the WAFL grand final.

In my opinion there will be no WAFL in the year 2020. There may be something but it will have the same connection as Donald Trump and facts. That is, no connection whatsoever.

2020 AFL crowds are in freefall with patrons disillusioned by the precarious state of our great game Aussie rules and which has deteriorated into a ugly combination of rugby and soccer called AFL
In desperation and in defiance of the AFL the WAFC have introduced a revolutionary new rule to transform our game back to that which enthralled previous generations.
Rule 101: Each side shall have 18 players on the field with two reserves.
Rule 101: (I) Reserves can only replace a team mate.
Rule 101 (ii) Once a player is replaced they can not take part in that game again.

Crowds flock back the WAFL to see an exciting open brand of football with genuine one on one contests and the return of highflyers such as John Gerovich and Jimmy Sewell.

Cust you forgot to mention that one field umpire was culled; that the WAFL axed the prior opportunity farce and reverted back to the law that when a player who is tackled is required to dispose of the ball correctly by hand or foot unless it is held to the player. If the player doesn't have the ball and is tackled the player tackled gets a free kick.

Yes I could have added that as well as when a player is pushed in the back then a free kick is awarded. If only we could all jump in a time machine and go back to the sixties, seventies and eighties.

Given how highly skilled players are today what a wonderful game Aussie Rules could be if we reverted back to the rules as they were prior to allowing interchange players!
