Would they get to take over West Coasts training facilities? if so would have to be the best facilities available to a state league club in Australia.

yep...love to go back to Subi Oval but I'm not sure the plan is to fence it rather keep as open public space. Also Subi would have to be compensated for the move as Leederville has cost them around $2m whereas the feral eagles got their social premises, training facility etc gratis.

If this actually comes to pass -- and I think it is likelly -- I can start apprecitting Subi Oval again. After 1987, to be honest, I went off the place a bit because of you know whom.

yep, looks pretty open at this stage, but you cant leave 10K seats under stands there and not use them for something I guess it will have some locked fencing on match days, yep if Subi got forced back 100% should get some sort of compo..however if they chose to go back by own choice that would be a different deal.

If they did vacate Leedy, any hope of WPFC coming home?

Also , none of this sounds real good for the WACA, increasingly looking like a white elephant going forward.

interesting conundrum that's for sure...I can't see Subi leaving Leedy given the $ spent on the place and I doubt WP would leave Joondy any time soon with planned upgrades etc...it would certainly make for interesting times if EP and WP shared a ground...I'd love to have the wooden spoons concession in Vincent Street. ;-)

An interesting proposal. I'm just wondering where the WAFL grand final will be played after this year? Surely not at the new stadium?

Personally would prefer if we stay at Leederville. Better parking and access and more suitable for the current WAFL competition. Was always cold in those stands in winter, and whilst I realise that most of those will be demolished anyway can't see a good reason to go back now. Anyway this has been our most successful era since going there in 2004 we have won six premierships. Plenty of places to have a drink and a feed in Leederville too.

Perhaps they could relocate both EP and Subi to the new subi oval (one stand subi members and one EP). Sell off Leederville as an extraneous WAFL oval to pay for it and have Milions$$ left over for the Govt Coffers

Very unlikely to be played at the new stadium, with a crowd of 10K it would look terrible and not be cost effective, it would be much better to play it at a scaled down Subi once its revamped it will be a lot better for sub 20k crowds, in the meantime they might be stuck with playing it at the new stadium or even Leederville.

Yep, tbh I cant see it happening, but you never know, a revamped Subi will need some sort of tenant if some of the stands remain. I've never felt the move to Joondy has ever really taken off in the way WP had planned with the locals.
