Its starting to become a little more clear what the future of subi oval will be, with the shambolic backdown by sneakers on the Perth Mod Move, the far more sensible idea of a new SHS on the Subi Oval site is taking shape, it also appears the modified oval will remain as a shared community , school , wafl asset. With a boutique arena for Wafl the end result, sounds like a good concept to me.

How is it a shambolic backdown? I would have thought McGowan did something Barnett never did and that is listen to the people, very refreshing

out and out shambolic back down, might have been a clue to actually ask the school community first before moving them to some stupid concrete box - just brain dead, oh yeah Barnett never back down on community pressure - Shark Culls , Council Mergers , Solar Panel Powers Subs, - talk one eyed selective memory.

Sneakers has only been around a few months and the back downs are happening already.

That's right Southerner with a school there it will get some use, looks like WAFC will be staying, by the look of the plans , everything on the railway side gets demolished , a couple of the stands remain on the Roberts road side and the old gates.

Be great to see Subiaco return to their traditional home.

Would they get to take over West Coasts training facilities? if so would have to be the best facilities available to a state league club in Australia.

Everything on the railway side is going to be demolished, including the Subi Sportsman's Club, the facilities in the Roberts Road City end pocket look like being retained.

Certainly enough space available to house the WAFC in the Eagles office space and Subiaco FC admin in West Coasts football dept offices.

Yep for sure, a lot of undercover seating retained , but in the pockets and behind city end goals, appears the area currently boxes directly over looking centre square Roberts Rd side will be cleared for a car park..
