Clearly the official opening at Claremont boosted the attendance this round.

1318 at SF game, it was bloody thin on the ground, Peel had about 10 people there.

There was the strange sight at Claremont Oval on Saturday of a long queue to get into a WAFL game.

Any feedback on the new ground? whats it like?

Well there is a great new stand - with much viewing behind glass if you like that sort of thing.I think 1200 seats in the stand and it has standing room/decks. The Stand is not entirely sheltered so if it rains you could get wet. No other shelter apart from the stand. The goals at the southern end have a net which might feel strange to watch from behind of. Did not use the toilet but there seemed to be queues for them. Did not buy food or drink and never do so cannot comment on that aspect. Cycled so cannot comment on parking. Plenty of places to chain the bike though and of course i am sure all are aware you can catch the train. Queued to get in, missed the start, did not go into the stand as it looked full of a mix of either snooty tiger fans or roudy tiger fans. Stood for the entire match by the East Freo bench - my preference though is to sit at the footy preferably sheltered. Glad to be back at the Moss Street tip for the next fortnight and hoping for 2 wins. Go the Sharks!

The 3447 at Claremont oval is the biggest home and away crowd there since r19, 1994 where 3500 saw C v EF, prior to that the next highest was 3449 C v S in r16, 1991

Anyone know what the crowd at Bassendean was yesterday? Looked a bit more than the average Saturday attendance. Ooops sorry just read Custodians post... about what I thought although I had a feeling we might have had 3000.
