With the changes to the deliberate out of bounds one can see that the next step is to eliminate the throw-in completely. Why do we want to get rid of ruckmen from the game of Aussie Rules?

Good topic 42. The art of the clearance is my favourite bit about footy and quality ruck battles are a joy to watch. i just wish they'd stop paying ridiculously soft technical ruck infringements and let the 2 big men without the 3rd man up go at it hammer & tong. Battles of strength and athleticism of ruckmen add to our game so let em go hard at it.

I think that if they start paying a free kick every time one ruckman grabs the other ruckamn they would soon learn that they need to go back to actually rucking rather than wrestling. That would then open up the ruckman's ability to tap to their rover or an opposing rover reading the opposition's tap. At the moment they are so intent on wrestling that there is virtually no tap and we get the ugly rolling mauls that are a blight on the game.

Because Victoria doesn't want the game to stop now - after all the hamburger packaging has to be TV glitzy
