No offence mate but it means fa. You ask anyone off the street who they support in the WAFL and most will say either swans, ep or ef. Been that way for years. Next question, who is your favourite player from them in the last 5 years, bit harder to answer that one for most of them

Think you are underestimating the power of Facebook DG...I've never been a fan but have had to face the reality in business that it is now by far the most cost effective method of reaching your target audience. All WAFL clubs should be concentrating hard on improving their social media network. What is damning is how low these numbers are across the board. Would be interesting to see numbers from other state level sports to see how well they are utilising this medium.

I was at cricket during summer and a couple of us asked a mates 9 year old boy who loves footy with a passion which WAFL side he follows and if he could name the teams. He couldn't name one side and said he follows the Blue and black team (only because he has seen his dad with an EP shirt on)
He knew FA about WAFL which was very sad because at that age we all knew the teams, premiers the past 50 years, Sandover winners, current players, coaches where they played etc etc etc.
The WAFL dropped the ball when entering the VFL, moves should have been made then to ensure all kids remained connected. Now all we hear of is most following Wet Toast or the Shockers like a herd of sheep that it is actually sickening. Thats why I stuck with my old VFL side to follow in the Hawks
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

DW didn't the WAFC last year laud the success of Ch 7's coverage because the clicks on their site, to paraphrase, had gone through the roof?

DW just ask BH mate...he appears to have these stats at his fingertips...take him no time to conjure up the Facebook likes and followers for all the VFL and SANFL clubs...
