6 REVIEW TO SHAKE FOOTY’S FOUNDATIONS

You might not have heard of the Boston Review but its implications could be huge. A major structural review of WA football by global management firm Boston Consulting Group is expected to be completed in March.

It is set to make a series of recommendations, which could include major changes to the way the cash-strapped WAFL and junior talent pathways are run. It could recommend a shake-up of the alignment system, the abolishment of the reserves competition or even an age cap to make the WAFL an underage development competition.

WA Football Commission chief executive Gavin Taylor said the review would span all levels of football. “We are calling it a once-in-a- generation review of football because the importance of getting this right will be paramount. It gives us a really clear direction for where we can take football into the future,” Taylor said.

If so it hardly says anything and is guess work only?

Its just his thoughts nothing to do with what's definitely in the report, its not even out yet.

What report it hasn't even been prepared yet?

The WAFC will see this as a way to further eridicate the WAFL whilst keeping there own plum positions safe. It all about what the WCE/FFC/AFL want. They have already proved they do no listen to the WAFL Clubs.
