I was thinking over the weekend if the EP league team were to not make the finals by losing to the Sharks next weekend, what would WC ask the WAFC to do with their players?

From their point of view having their whole squad match fit throughout their AFL finals campaign would be their preferred option. Could we see them apply to the WAFC to have them play reserves??? Interesting scenario.

good question Dwert...hopefully only those qualified for reserves would be allowed to play. it's exactly these circumstances where WART misses the finals and the eagles make it, that highlights the dangers of the alignment model. if we had the previous set up where WA players stuck with their original clubs and interstaters were allocated to WAFL teams then you'd still have a number of eagle players involved at WAFL level during the finals. I hope the WAFC doesn't bend over once again for the AFL clubs and allow unqualified players to play ressies.

It would be conceivable that the WAFC would relegate East Freo from the finals and promote the Eagles' reserves team to 5th.

it won't matter because EP will win anyway, form wise EF are strugglling to win a game. It has been a bit disappointting, because, taking everything together, both Claremont and EF should have assurred that both AFL teams failled to make the finals.

More, generally, it is clear, even from castting one's eyes over the events in SA very briefly, that, the WAFL is in a much better state than its illustrious counterpart in Adelaide.

Visually Impaired Frederick & his faithful 3 legged visually challenged Cat can see that the WCE could not care less whether EP make finals or not , EP only serve to provide a match day jumper at the whim & discretion of their master at any time

Had to cringe when that WAFC Taylor indicated that Auskick participation is the highest in the country in WA - what he didn't mention & probably tried to deflect from is that Junior Footy is in a diabolical participation decline of numbers & that junior clubs are folding like flies

What will the WAFC do ???? Provide more concessions to the host of course

I guess this topic becomes irrelevant as it's likely the Beags will get bundled out in the first week of the finals.

Yeah & what about their reserves side ????? wait for the manipulation
