Some positive signs of improvement so let’s hope the young fellow comes good.

Thoughts as well to the West Perth player who showed remorse to the situation.

As much as most people did not want this to become a tribunal offence with a penalty it had to go this way to involve that barstard of a thing called liability, which in fact will help Beau’s financial claims, as necessary, down the track.

Devonleigh makes an interesting point regarding liability and future financial claims/settlements for Beau. The tribunal has basically admitted that the WAFC through one of it's licensed players has to accept responsibility for this incident, so that conniving cheating insurance companies cannot worm their way out of a reasonable settlement.

My expectation is that WP will appeal and the penalty will be reduced by at least 50%.

Thank you Senior.

Have been involved in 3 of these cases and unfortunately this has gone beyond football and will now enter legal realms which will help with Beau’s quality of life, whatever it may hold.

The trigger here is to ensure all entitlements are properly instigated and governed to help the family with those medical issues and standards of living that are not recognisable at the present but may eventuate on a needs basis, through time.

the tribunal chairman makes it up as he goes along going by Gareth Parker's article in the West today but that is no surprise to anyone who has followed his WAFL work over the years.

now WP will seem like the bad guys in this if they appeal when the tribunal should have worked together with the WAFL to come up with a penalty that would have ended this sad incident from a footy point of view and let Chatley and Antonio get on with what has happened.

absolutely on the money MO...Antonio is no doubt feeling bad enough without being made an example of...an agreed penalty between the club, tribunal and WAFC which reflected the severity of the incident but took into account the player's remorse would have been more appropriate.

Swandog don't try to turn this into another S V SD argument, pull your head in.

Josh Pearce played for WP not SD.
If you are going to cite an example of other incidents and their outcome then others are entitled to do the same.
leave the hypocrisy for the tribunal chairman.

very long penalty; have not seen one that long since the number 14 for Subiaco was suspended for hitting the number 8 for EP -- 11 weeks -- in 1982.

The Antonio family and his Manager have accepted the ban and will not appeal.

Given your comment to Swandog why bring the alignment into anything, this is about two young men one in hospital and one who now has as well the incident the suspension and its stigma,
