This is the biggest load of garbage I've ever heard. So this bloke apparently only has to be at the game, could be eating a hotdog under the score board, and is getting credited with having played the game. Whether he's any good or not makes absolutely no difference. The principal of this is off the charts. If only being at the ground gets you a game then I'm going back over the last 30 odd years to see how many WAFL games I can be credited for playing. Freo are a disgrace and an embarrassment to WA football. Have been for 20 years. This is proof they couldn't give a rats about Peel or the WAFL

Yep...agree Sacko. I support Freo in the AFL but some of their antics in the last couple of years shows a blatant disregard for the WAFL and has me questioning my loyalty starting with resting 2/3rds of the team before the finals a couple of years ago to the detriment of the chunder, to the ground fiasco against Subi earlier this year and now this. I'm a WAFL man first and foremost and this is another reason for stepping back from the AFL as far as I'm concerned.

Lol why are you blaming Freo, the WAFC gave them the ok to do iit, it's all above board I don't agree with it btw, the anger should be directed at the WAFC and at your own WAFL clubs that allowed the alignment in the first place and no doubt the seven WAFL clubs sold their soul for a bit of hush money, with out a whimper from any of its WAFL supporters I might add.

I thought the WAFC runs WA footy and owns the two AFL licences, the g7 clubs were bent over or like I said the compensation was too much of an incentive to keep quiet and go along with it., yeh there's a bit of a protest from a couple of CEOs and the outraged in here but that'll be it.

You can blame Freo blah blah blah but ultimately our clubs conceded with out a whimper.

I don't think they had a whole lot of choice to be honest. They could complain all they liked but at day's end it was out of their control because as I inferred in my previous, the two AFL clubs provide the funds and what they say goes.

That's awful Freezin, my heart goes out to them. Puts everything in perspective. Its a mad world for sure.

I think this would be easy for the WAFC to fix in that to be counted as a game towards finals qualification, a player must actually be on the ground for a significant proportion of the game. Say 50% as a guide.

I'm also a big Eagles man but a WAFL man first and foremost and things like this Sh*t me to tears. It's nothing more then a piss take. There's no way the WAFC can allow this
