In a story on the state game it says Brett Peakes state debut makes the Peakes just the second family to have three generations play state footy for wa. But it doesn't tell us who the other family is, anybody know?

Possibly the Mcintoshs? Johns dad played for the Royals, not sure if he played state footy or not. John and Ashley definitely would have.

It has to be Ryan Turnbull I reckon who`s father John Turnbull ex SD great played for WA and his grandfather SD legend Ted Holdsworth (Teds Daughter married John) who also played for WA in interstate football

I am pretty sure Jordan Lockyer's Grandfather is Ken Bagley as well tho no doubt freeze will be pushing his old man Barge's small ties to that ol Richmond area!!

Haha yeh mate there was an article a few years back on Jordan and Ken, and I think the only reason Ryan never played with us was because he went to a private school in the Claremont belt. The EF ties are very slim indeed though too

Looks like Ryan Turnbull made the right choice by not following in his father/Grandfathers footsteps playing for SD....yeah he might of missed SD last true flag in 1990, but then he would of missed out on playing in premierships for Cl/EP & WCE....more importantly he got an education to boot at Christchurch Grammar
