Tony Micale was one of the commentators at the West Perth v East Perth game and during his summary he expressed his frustration at the contrast between the falcons and the royals club culture. His view was that East Perths history and tradition was being lost and there were not enough players prepared to "bleed blue and black" when a game was on the line ( then again why would Lewis Jetta and Jamie Bennell bleed blue and black}. He was also saying that in the last quarter when East Perth needed to take a few risks to try and win the game they reverted to a boring defensive game akin to what Peel have done in some games where AFL selection becomes more important than winning a game of footy.

None of this is news to any of us of course, we know what is happening to our oompetition, but I thought it was interesting that a well respected ex coach of East Perth who has also had links with the Eagles admitting that this alignment model is ripping the heart and soul out of a club he loves.

Micales comments have a element of truth.unfortunately without Lee,Moss,Wullff and Anderson not playing at the moment we have a lack of leadership and experience. In regard to Jetta He seems disinterested and not showing enough passion at west coast and now it is our problem. As for Bennell he didn't let the league team down because he was playing ressies.Only had twelve touches but having 18 committed east perth reserves players meant they could cover for him and have a good win. He has played some good games for us in the past but has been very poor this year. Definitely a chance for delisting. A chance to join a committed murray newman at the swannies next year.

I'll be revoking my membership if Murray Newman is at SD next year. Already a big enough team culture problem without the likes of him resurfacing

Is this the same Tony Micale who dropped the Swans' colts' player who kicked our only two goals for the match against Claremont?
