Sounds like the U/18's had a convincing win today v Vic C...10 goal margin.....obviously some stand out performances by a bunch of players.....from an EF perspective good to see young Luke Strnadica lead the way with 4 goals...sounds like Powell-Pepper had a good one, as did Logue shutting down Battel after he kicked 3 early ones.....Goddard and English dominated the ruck contests and Jake Waterman kicked 1.5.....well done to all concerned!

Great news after a couple of poor seasons. Should be some rich pickings for the draft this year. Logue will go in the first round I reckon.

Great start to the 18s-Teal Cup by the WA boys with a convincing all round team effort against the defending champs Vic Country.
Hopefully the little fella Baker is ok after copping a big hit as he was impressive.

An even better win considering petrevski seton not playing, waterman to be a handy recruit for east perth next season.

What is the father son rule in wafl? Doubt chris waterman would have played enough games to qualify it. Didnt apply for us for luke blackwell.

It's bad enough they lose not one but two boys to a rival WAFL Club.Even worse, when they turn their back on the Father/Son Rule.Far worse if any of them go to that lot.

As for the WA 18's,great result.Chock full of talent,so they should be a great chance to Win The Lot.Providing that recent philosophy of "development" is DITCHED for FULL BORE WINNING!

Memo WAFC - Don't Hold these kids back, like you have before to help the AFL ram a BS Campaign against the Colts' System.Don't Betray our Competition to FWits who think they know better about the WAFL,when they know Sweet FA!

Just a hint, the scouts will ask to see a certain player in a particular position just like they do with colts and there is a fairly good chance that is where they will play the boy. Also some scouts will ask that the player plays down back in an effort to hide them or forward whatever the case maybe.

This year was always going to be good year, we have known that for the past 2 years through the 14,15 and 16 processes, next year will be ok and then maybe a drought, the fact is there is a cycle. The other part in all of this is despite being good at this level the next couple are big steps.

WA are copping an 8 goal flogging to 3QT vs SA in Adelaide, if only some certain WAFL club(s) lifted their rating in the development stakes instead of being solely concerned with recruiting for the senior side we would be a lot more competitive at the national 18s level!

Without being too disrespectful it was probably the most average and under sized Vic country team represented in a long while.

A 3 goal win yesterday to WA vs the Allies.
Was a bit of spite in the clash with the opposing ruckmen having a ding dong battle for most of the day that spilled over to an all in scuffle after the 3 qtr time siren although that only seemed to fire the Allies up who dominated the last qtr but just couldn't bridge the 2 goal differential until Wright kicked a goal after the final siren to give WA it's only goal for the qtr.
We definitely have a bit of work to do before we can challenge Vic Metro next although SA seem to have the championship at their mercy although it certainly helps their cause that they haven't had to leave the comfy home surrounds of Adelaide as yet!
