Remember West Perth players Brian Adamson and Ross Gibbs great high marks.My late father allways told me about another West Perth player Laurie Richards.
Great marks seen by myself.Remember Brett Farmer against Swans r21 ,,1981 in front of a massive crowd.
Remember Ken Hunter taking a screemer over Tom Thorne at Basso late 1970"s.What a competition the WAfl was back then.
Can remember quiet a few Subi players taking some great marks in the 80:s.
Tim Geappon was a great high mark.East Perth+Claremont John Scott.Sfreo Benny Vigona could jump over the pack.John Begg Sfreo in 81 GF.
The modern speed of the game has taken away from the high marks we use to see every week.THATS what makes Aussie Rules so unique.

Tim Geappen's hanger in front of the Claremont members stand in the 2010 2nd Semi was a cracker.

Bh have spoken to some young Swans players who where terrified to make a mistake at training.Because Geappen would give them a serve on and off the field.IMO hes really missed at Swans this year even though he was in the twilite of his playing career and there was no more high marks.

Yeah mate Swoop is sorely missed he was one of the best & most loyal recruits we have ever had (not that we have that many compared to some).
His leadership on the park, his ability to one grab every mark & his dead eye dick kicking for goal & his field kicking in general and last but not least his ability to put the opposition completely off their game with some of the best insults I have ever heard (I will have to post the one on the poor Claremont rookie one day).
Interesting point you make GTR as the standards he expected from his team mates and also of himself have been noticeably missing this season!

One that many may not remember was Len Clarke who Souths got over for a couple of seasons.Len was a great over head mark and a pack mark for a smaller type of player.Hard as nails as well.
Also Ray "Bikkies" Bauskis was a great mark for Souths.

Why was Ray Bauskis called bikkies, was it being goal hungry or just that he delivered the bikkies most weeks?

some famous marks on here -- Luke Tooia took a couple for Subi in his time; Heady should also be mentioned; there was a guy whom played briefly for Subiaco, Jeremy Schmidt, he also took one or two blinders. I agree with all the other posts; my favourite would be Gerovich's mark, one that has universal recognition, even in Victoria.
