Did anyone else look at the sunshine through the window at any stage and wish that one of the WAFL games had been played today?? Beautiful sunny day as opposed to the horrible conditions on Saturday. I know you can't control the weather but its rare for the whole easter break to have poor weather so surely it would be better to spread the games over the weekend. Before the good Friday game was instituted there used to be 2 games on the Saturday and 2 on the Monday and this seemed to work out well. For example a Swans V South game today would have attracted a lot more people if it had been played today. Another lost opportunity for the WAFL I believe.

Yep we might have scored 10 goals if the game had been played this afternoon. Then again the Doggies would probably have kicked 20.....

Peel will be a real challenge, may be some turnover from the Dockers, Pretty sure we won't have to contend with Alex Pearce but Sandis return may mean the return of Griffin or Clarke so young Yukich will have another learning experience.

The crowd on Saturday was pretty good tbh Mike considering the appalling conditions, both stands were jam packed, and all 3 bars too

That would have made common sense Mike something the WAFC are not exactly renowned for!

Makes sense to spread the games over the weekend, the GF game is set in stone so that stays, 2 games on the Saturday and 1 on the Sunday or Monday. The GF game always attracts extra punters as it's a stand alone fixture, so the same would apply for a stand alone Sunday or Monday game. Or even better, 1 game on each day, but would need to work around the telecast times for the AFL games to help crowd numbers.

I'm not entirely convinced of playing a Wafl match on Good Friday. But if better crowd numbers are the result, why not keep trying. More advertising would be the go for it, but do not turn it into a media circus. The Good Friday matches have produced good attendances apparently. Except this years was down.
Maybe play the other three fixtures over the remaining three days. A match on Saturday, the second on the Sunday and the remaining match on Monday.

Luckily 3000 EP supporters showed up to the game!
