This time last year there was a very marked improvement in the pre season promotion for the start of the season and first game.

I go through Perth Station on regualr basis and last year it was awash with billboards promoting the start of the WAFL Season, had never seen so many, there were TV adds and West Lift Out, and there were free ticket give aways for the opening game.

This year we have slided back into practice of the past , nothing bar the West Liftout yesterday, dissapointing there were no free tickets giveaways as was the case last year.

Generally very poor, plus the curtin raiser has been stuffed up with a change of time, Im feeling the crowd will be a bit ordinary for this one.

Not a great start.

I was actually thinking that this year is pretty good for a change, I have even heard 93.7fm promoting the start of the wafl season & also a segment on today tonight plus the west & s times liftouts, tv ads, the west & perth now websites but where is the budget download on wafl online?

Nah Mate, anyway compared to around the city last year, there is bugger all. The bill boards and ticket promo was great.

in saying that Peter Bell just did a pre season promo on 6PR as I wrote this.

True they should've continued with that

On the west wafl site they did season previews of all 9 clubs.
