I actually loved those Demons pitchfork jumpers. They didn't last long but there was nothing like them then or now.

And great article on Doug Simms, one of my all time favourite Perth players.

Both Doug & Wayne Simms were very good players for Perth in a tough era for the Demons in the late 70's/early 80's daz ..Wayne ended up at Swans after doing his knee while Doug eventually moved to West Perth to finish his career.

Cheers mate, yeh they were interesting!..Yeh Doug was a top player, i have a few hundred various newspaper pics and plan to gather hundreds more this year from between 75 and 85 with a grand plan to put them all in a big scrapbook type of book that looks authentic like they have all been cut out..im also planning to get all the player of the week sketches for a separate book, if i didnt work i would do this full time!

BH Marshalls son played at Canningvale the last couple of years , not sure he played much last year but i watched him every game the year before and im telling you this kid can play . The old man is still built like a brick outhouse and is a top bloke . Swans have got themselves a real good one in this kid .

Haha but 75 was only 2 years post flag so must have been competitave, 9 wins 12 losses for the year
