How about a few comments about tomorrows games, well probably only one competitive game anyway. Just to make a bit of a change from all the TV garbage that has been recycled on this forum today. The game at Leederville promises to be a very close one, the Tigers would still be on a high after their last minute victory last week. Murphy looks in doubt but even if he doesn't play Claremont still have enough in the midfield to trouble East Perth. Newman and Barass come back in for them but there doesnt seem to be as many Eagles in the side as usual. I'm tipping a Claremont win by 2 goals. The West Perth V Peel "game" will be all over at half time and I'm tipping the Falcons will ease up in the 2nd half so the margin won't be as high as everyone is tipping.

A couple of decent games in the reserves, the qualifying final will pit two pretty strong sides against each other. Subiaco will be favourites at home but Swans will provide plenty of opposition with Dean, Riddoch, Burnham, Grescos and a number of other players who had a taste of league footy this year turning out for the black and whites. West Perth at home should be too strong for East Perth you would think.

In the colts Swans should be more than a match for Peel who struggled to beat South Fremantle last week and the elimination final is a toss of the coin job really as both teams were comprehensively beaten last week. Maybe West Perth might squeeze home and make it a trifecta!

Mcginnity, Selwood, and Bennell to probably come in also mikeh. We can stretch them up forward with the height of Maister, Bradley, Seaby and possibly darcy Cameron. Their key defenders being barass and anderson and then they get pretty light on. Looking for a big game from Mitch Andrews today, has been in great form as the primary ruckman but has had a lot trouble against Johnson over his career. Call the zoo there's going to be some hungry tigers out there today

Best of luck TOO... Would make it a very pleasant day if the Tigers get over EP.
Heading off soon to watch all 3 grades at Joondalup.
All WP teams in with a chance. Reserves and Colts could go either way for us as form Up and Down.
If we cant be the Peel reserves in the League we dont deserve to be in the finals.

Looking forward to some good WAFL..

Enjoy your footy as the season is comming to a close.

Disappointing day for WAFL footy but not unexpected. The highlight for me was hearing Corbin and Clinton from ABC get fired up at the end of the elimination final broadcast. The Eagles refused to let any of their players talk to the on ground commentator at the end of the match. What an absolute joke, shows the scant regard they have for the competition.

Clint was also scathing in his views of the WAFC and the way they have botched up the TV stuff. He speaks for a lot of WA footy fans. How could these muppets be charged with the management of the new stadium when they can't sort out a contractual dispute.

Bad luck to the Tigers, they did so well to qualify from a 0 - 5 start to the season. Also hard luck to the Swans reserves. 2 goals 6 in the 3rd quarter was a killer. Hopefully the boys bounce back next week and get another crack at Subi. Congrats to the Swans colts, one win away from another Grand Final.

The other thing the ABC boys were saying was that having more than half of the teams in a finals series has never been a success and I know that others on Ozfooty have expressed the view that this system rewards mediocrity. With this in mind lets hope the competition reverts back to a top 4 next season.

I'm astounded there has been no mention of the Wafl Finals on any of the electronic media!!! Not unless I've missed it or been viewing at the wrong time/ s? Yet there's been plenty of soccer coverage, cricket (telecast live from the UK)is still very evident on the screen, plenty of basketball reports, rugby etcetera, but not one report about the Wafl Finals being played just down the road! Very bad advertisement for our 'supposedly' local media! The long list of questions is growing ever longer!

Why? Mate I predicted this, there are 2 local afl clubs in the AFL finals, the local media are hyperventilating doing back flips with a triple pike expect mind numbing blanket coverage for the next 5 weeks. THANK GOD im going OS for afl grand final day.
