Let's go back to the pre-host club alignment.

The best case scenario would be if both get knocked out of the finals in straight sets and then collapse out of the finals next year, that is the only way the alignment will be questioned.

Absolutely right. With the WA teams one and two and 3 and 4 in the WAFL, outsiders are going to say what's the problem? But we have been down this road before. The problem may not be the alignment this year but the TV shambles.

Peel with Freo (who cares anyway)
Same model as the SANFL.

Should have been done at the beginning, rather than the shambles we have today. I hope it happens. Would love EP back & get that rivalry with WP back to what it should be. Not the pretend version we have today.

East Perth must give the club back to the supporters. Hopefully WCE do the right thing and start planning their own WAFL side. Maybe then they will have their own supporters coming to the WAFL games, considering the side will be called the Eagles, not East Perth. Ring the Crows and find out how its done.

Like it or not the traditional 8 team comp is gone. This is a far better alternative and must be done. Would be better for TV too.

Surely this isn't really a surprise to anyone? The Eagles originally wanted their own WAFL side but were denied so settled for an alignment team. Did anyone really think they would not try for a stand alone team again?

Jardine NO it should not have happened in the past and it should NOT HAPPEN in the future.

As a matter of interest with your proposal what is the impact to the:

(i) colts' and reserves' fixture;
(ii) other competitions with respect to supplementing the two WA domiciled AFL clubs' reserves' team?

My prediction is that any WCE stand alone "team" will attempt (and then get WAFC approval) to have an elite colts side admitted not long after their scummy maggot breeding ground is fly blown in Vic Park

The outsiders are the entire footy public in WA that are soley concerned with the eagles and dockers they call the shots not people like you.
