This is a legitimate question I believe that the Lions are rolling along with one defeat out of 11 games this year. They have soundly beaten all teams bar East Perth and this with many of their best team out with injuries. They are looking simply awesome at the moment and I can't see a team that would be able to beat them at the moment. I really thought the Tigers were going to knock them over yesterday but they were smashed on their own home paddock Who out of the rest of the competition is most likely to mount a challenge?

The only encouragement for the chasing pack is that in the last two years the runaway favorites have come a cropper in the finals. In fact in 2013 Claremont who were totally dominant in the home and away season didnt even make the Grand Final, so maybe complacency is the enemy here.

In answer to your topic headline question Mike- the WAFL themselves if they are doing their due diligence on this mob like they have other clubs in the recent past!

Sadly the only teams with any hope are the 2 aligned teams and they are only a chance if their respective League teams stay healthy.

Sorry to disagree boys, but the Grand Final is played on the day and anything can happen.
1995 Subi only lost a couple of games and were raging favourites.
1999 South were tied up with the Dockers and were hot favourites.
2003 Again Subi were hot favourites. Lost Brad Smith early.
2013 EP were hot favourites.
In all cases we beat them.
As I said any thing can happen. Couple of injuries early or an off day.
Has been won yet.

On present indications Subiaco are so far in front of any other team. I am sure the WAFC are salivating with a possible Subiaco versus Fremantle Reserves' team 2015 Grand Final.

EP looked great on Good Friday and smashed us badly. Subi are vulnerable in the height Dept and a team like EP can expose them. But then again it could be a wet and windy GF day again.

With Eagles looking at playing finals they are less likely to shelve any players early so EP could be a very strong outfit come Sept (if they can get into the final 5).

Subi won last year but I don't think they were the form side going into the GF. EP, Claremont, EF and SF were very good late last year.

We should have lost the preliminary final and if the GF was played a day earlier last year (ie 34 degree day)I think we would have been soundly beaten.

Any team still needs things to go their way.

Let us wait and see. In 1980, at the same stage of the season SD led the competition by four games -- a bigger lead than Subiaco -- but they certainly did not win the flag.

Waaaaaaaayy to early to go down this road ...

Yes $ubi are at this time proving a very strong team but there's much to happen, injuries to possibly influence, weather influences and so much much more between now and the big day and many a so called FAVOURITE's fail before the big day arrives and also ON THE DAY the event gets too much for the team ... Ask The Eagles reserves - twice now in 24 months

West Perth are unbeaten at home in 2015.They have Subi this week in the top of the table clash.A bit of bad blood between these two sides.
