Congratulations to Ryan Davis for winning the Simpson Medal. I went to the game today and thought has W.A got the talent to win this gig. Without question, the WAFL has a heap of classy footballers. I was impressed with Paul Johnson who kept pumping the boys up, he really is a leader. Yarran in the first half was exceptional. Rumble went in hard and ended up with badly cut jaw, blood everywhere, tough bugger. Blackie and Strijkie did their jobs as well as Wheeler, Clanger did bloody well. I liked Kory Beard from Sturt, would love to see him in W.P jumper. Well done to the W.A boys.

It was a good effort. Congratulations to WA. Can some one remind me if WA won the last contest played between the two states in Adelaide, please?

I think we lost to them in Adelaide. That was the game where Dan Hunt had a shocker.

I think the last SA and WA state game in Adelaide being played in Twenty 12? South Australia winning by 2 or 3 goals from memory.

Heard the attendance being 2½ to 3,000 people? Does anybody know?
If that figure is correct, I think it's disappointing considering the good weather enjoyed on Saturday.

Westaussieguy, in typical fashion the AFL did nothing to help promote this game when they fixtured Westcoast to play the early game on Saturday & Freo playing on Saturday night. Surely Freo v North could have been the Friday night game with Westcoast v St.Kilda playing on Sunday. This would have left Saturday free to highight the WA v SA State Game for the football supporters in the West & thus boost attendance to the game!!

I think it's up to the Wafc and safc to fixture the game around the afl fixtures. to have it on the same day as an eagles and Dockers game was plain dumb.

exactly, its got nothing to do with the AFL.

but as usual the WAFC have absolutely no idea or foresight. They never have and they never will, so we should all stick with that sound knowledge and we wont ever be disappointed with anything.

Congrats to the whole team for a great even all round performance. Well done to Davis on his Simpson, could of put a number of names out there who were worthy of the Simpson.....the mids were great with their defensive pressure, great to see Anthony with his 11 tackles, but some real quality throughout the midfield in terms of performance and commitment..... fantastic defence led by Simpson, Rumble, Twomey et al....all tough nuts who are hard to beat at the best of times......whilst the forward line had a great mix of tall and small options.......

be interested to see what happens in the EP v WP game on Monday.....a lot of WP boys are still bitter for Johnson being preferred over Keunen last weekend.....be a lot of egg on face stuff if Johnson has a blinder.....though Keunen is a great competitor and doesn't often lower his colours.....though I reckon Robbie Young winning 42 knockouts, 6 marks and 16 possessions culled Keunens state game chances.....Harris and Dimmer surprisingly overlooking their WP connections and plumping for the EP ruckman instead.....

Come on Freezin I respect your posts but you have certainly made some sweeping statements and assumptions in that post.
WP players wont have to prove anything and Sure Chris has moved on.
No egg on any ones faces and the WPFC will just play the game at its usual tempo.
I am sure the thing most prevelant in the EP Eagles minds will be the last time we met and the State game will not enter their minds.
Being mainly Eagles anyway they wont even be thinking of it as a WAFL game but their Home club WCE and they selection prospects.
Johnson got picked and that is not his fault. Knowing Chris and Paul neither will run on to prove the State selection was wrong or right but just to do their job as they both do.

Dont read anything into it.. Your starting to sound like BC :(
