The expectation when the Budget did the Top 25 of the last 25 list in early 2012 was that they would be able to add a player each year ie Top 26 of the Last 26, then Top 27 of the Last 27 etc.
They basically handed the whole idea to the WAFL, who, perhaps unsurprisingly, have done nothing with it. As a result, we could now have added three players to that list. The original list was compiled from the years 1987-2011. The three added players could be from any period between 1987 and 2014, provided they played at least 100 WAFL games during those years.
So, who would you add?

As a Swan Districts supporter, I'd live to see Troy Ugle get in. Made his debut in 1987, was a crowd favourite at Bassendean, and would invariably get one of the best players from the opposition when he was at his best.

Biased i know, but what about five time premiership winner Darren Rumble?

Blackwell would be the obvious one, Brendan jones and tallan Ames.

Dead right mate Boopy was an excitement machine and he should already be on that list as he was a far better footballer than more than half of those on the list!

I would have Ugle before several on that list but It looks like they tried to give every club a fair go.

Yeah, I reckon Ugle would be a great addition. Ditto Blackwell. Not sure why this hasn't been taken further by the commission/league. Surely some recognition for the best WAFL players from the modern generation is only fair. Let's face it, none of them will ever get into the WA footy hall of fame...

Yeah Blacky would be a certainty to go in but Im still shaking my head at how Ugle could have been left out of the original 25!!
