Can't beleive the crap coming out about Subi Oval, once the new stadium is built, it will be a complete white elephant, put bulldozers through it and sell the land off for redevelopment and re coup some of the costs of the new stadium.

Sounds like the premier has started the ball rolling. Going by comments yesterday, the land developers are lining up already for it.

What about using it for WAFL headquarters?
Centre of excellence?
Or EP's new headquarters?
There would be plenty of seats for their 500 supporters to choose from.

Not sure about the ball rolling but the wrecking ball will be rolling in about 5 yrs,,,not sorry to see the crap whole bite the dust.

They might keep a small park in the centre, but high density residential is the way to go.

that's what i thought too 30plus but i heard last night and its confirmed on wikipedia that it's actually owned by the state govt and operated by WAFC.

Nah not anymore, the State Govt requsitioned it after the WAFL collapse in the 80s. They then leased it to the WAFC for a peppercorn for its survival.

We are coming to Lathlain Demons forever to merge with you. Our 500 supporters can join with your 20 and all 520 can abuse all the young kids playing, the umpires, opposition supporters etc. I can't wait.

if and when it happens it won't be hard to pick the original Dee supporters from the EP ferals...the Dees have teeth amd won't be wearing a black and blue flannelette shirt..
