Just having a look at the ABC game which is Claremont V Peel. On the TV the ground looks very patchy and sandy and looks well below the standard for WAFL footy. I just hope that nobody does themselves an serious injury on this cow paddock. Maybe Claremont should play their home games on another oval until the showgrounds are up to scratch

It looks like a very wide ground with deep pockets. If they can get it up to scratchthe DDockers shouldtrain there lead ing up to their next game at the MCG.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

Hopefully they do get the turf up to scratch because apart from that it's a great little ground to watch footy.

There wasn't many people there yesterday but the game still had some atmosphere about it. It's a bit of a amphitheater actually.

Mate, not sure but they'd be mad not to let non-members up there - especially in the bar. From memory it's a good view in the bar behind the glass windows up there.

Surprised this ground was not chosen as the new home for CFC. Little bit of money could get it looking good for what is an under used facility. Does anyone know the capacity of the newly developed Claremont Oval?

I think the capacity will be 5 or 6 thousand. non members certainly allowed anywhere at the show grounds but the grandstand is out of action at the moment due to structural work or something, I hope it's not for too long, we don't play a game there again until June.
I think the show grounds will be good atmosphere for future games, you can get really close to the action if you sit on the limestone walls around the ground. looking forward to playing a traditional club there with no eagles or Dockers game on at the same time. yes there are a few negatives but remember all you need is grass, goals, two teams and a
footy. and a bar.

West Perth and Sf dont' let anyone anywhere. Hope the Tigers dont follow suit
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Yep that's a pitty - Are you sure that's the case at the Bulldogs ??? If so it was the case years ago but now with small crowds surely all's fair in love and war and it's more money for the home club.
