2 weeks ago swans had to play a pretty formidable east Perth side anchor man, on the weekend west Perth played a far weaker east Perth outfit, not due to east Perth s injuries but because of injuries to glass, le cras, Hurn... and so on. what used to be a premier wafl fixture was reduced to a compromised game.

I wouldnt even bother explaining it to him Tiges he has no idea about what goes on in the WAFL ..I mean he still thinks there was a vote on for the alignment!!

Absolutely Tiges, i looked at their line up vs joondy & thought we could beat that side no probs, but i looked at their line up vs the dogs the week before & thought shit they will be hard to beat. Their final line up vs joondy ended up being a little stronger than first listed with the likes of brennan etc coming in but still looked beatable.

What I saw was 22 blokes per side, yet only 1 group of 22 were doing as their coach wanted them to.

Didn't see much Leadership from the Eagles Reserves, therefore, my beloved Cardinals ran amok after 1/4 time.

Both sides will now have nightmares in the lead-up to their next meeting at Joondallup - Eagles Reserves because they won't want to get THRASHED again and the Cardinals because they won't want the same injuries inflicted - namely LEATHER POISONING.

NOT in favour of the alignment at all, yet for those that have been around for a few years, REMEMBER it was EAST PERTH wanting to join the VFL that brought about the formation of the Eagles in the first place. SERVES THEM RIGHT. Now they can SUFFER.
