I sincerely apologise A/man. I was thinking that you would be interested in having a look, either at Basso or on the TV, at the possible replacements from the aligned players at Peel; hence my comment. Obviously I was incorrect in my assumption that you would have an interest in the Freo aligned players at Peel.

let's not forget the Dockers are in on this equally as much as the eagles, they just get it easy because they got to take over a club none of us want in the competition anyway

La Hincha wrote: Moreover, as Dennis Cometti mentioned in one of his columns, West Coast would have to be close to the most successful club in the AFL since the VFL expanded.

The thing that these pro AFL folk never mention is - that - the weaker clubs like Melbourne, Footscray and so on, all have aligned VFL sides and it hasn't helped them any.

Western Bulldogs now have their own reserves team for this reason.

It was interesting to hear, and read about their former affiliated team Williamstown finding new life, and heavily recruiting for this season just started. They are celebrating their 150th year as there own without a ball and chain, and marketing based upon this.

Bloody hell jardine, you're a person in football torment. I can't imagine how I would feel if it was my club that jumped ship. Been a Shark since 1958 (although could have been 1957, but 58 will do. I'm sure I would be as distraught as you obviously are. I feel for you and any TRUE EP person.

You can see why none of the local journalists were prepared to write anything against the alignments. In a small town like this it would have been the end of their careers. A football journalist who is blacklisted by West Coat or Fremantle is of no use to any newspaper in this town.

yes funny you should say that as I remember one Journo talking to another on WAFL WORLD 91.3 and this was mentioned.. Have a listen to week 1 of WAFL world podcast on 91.3 website.. Could of been week two no sure but noticed this week on WAFL WORLD neither Pikey or Shane turned up.. Ok think Shane does the basketball so he was unavailable.
Both Journo's for WA newspapers.. Will be interested to see if they both turn up next week?
Maybe I am wrong but the WAFC/WAFL has obviously laid down the rules as stated on this show... They know there are no bikkies in the WAFL so the Media has told their people what to say at risk of their jobs.
I think you are spot on La Hincha... It Farken stinks but it is like the AFL players in the two ALIGNED clubs they will have to keep their mouths shut.. and this most probably includes WAFL players

All the more credit to Hams.. I for one will be seeking him out at our game next week and shaking his hand.. Well done mate and thanks

One good thing is they cannot police this site or other WAFL pages like Facebook site Lost WAFL etc Where views can be freely expressed, and the big wigs do read them I know for a fact
