Have a read of this article over on the SANFL website.

When was the last time that a normal game, other than a GF had this many people listening to it?

That was a great add there SwanDog. What type of promotion was done for WAFL Easter or ANZAC footy?

The SANFL govern footy in SA, similar to the WAFC in WA.

The problem is that the SANFL don't have AFL sides to look after anymore as the licences have been sold to the Crows and Power, who are now answerable to the AFL Commission in Victoria, not the SANFL.

As such the SANFL need to look after and promote SA local footy to survive, as the SANFL is now once again their primary product.

The AFL could be the savior of the WAFL if the WAFC was forced to sell back the licenses.

If what I have been told is correct the financial structure of football in WA would be stuffed if that happened Mike.

re: What type of promotion was done for WAFL Easter or ANZAC footy?

From what I saw, virtually non-existent. Did not see any mention on any of the tv stations about it. Not sure if others witnessed any promotional activity at all?
