I wonder if the WAFL have bothered to try and see the game promoted in Geraldton? I had a quick look at a couple of local websites and saw nothing. Nothing in events this weekend etc. Miserable.

Spot on Singha, I had a look through the local newspaper, City of Greater Geraldton and visitor centre websites. Absolutely no reference to it at all. I found it on the events calendar of the Great Northern Football leagues website but it certainly wasn't highlighted. Absolutely pathetic. If you're not going to promote this sort of event to the locals why wouldn't you just keep the game at East Fremantle oval?

That's a worry if correct ? Surely all WAFL footy played in the bush should be great news and promoted big time - Especially as it would cost a lot of money to host and it's a great opportunity to promote the town ???

Yeah hard to find anything on the web, but you never know they may have posters up and be promoting it through their local footy clubs. Promises to be a ripper game too with two first round winners playing each other

Hopefully we can get 5-6,000 there. That would be great.

Wouldn't think so but would be great ?

2000 with a great bush atmosphere and a Subi win and I could get a key to the city ?
But being Shark country I'd have to buy it - I wouldn't be given it.
Well a gig at the local night club anyway.

Looking forward to the trip - they do it well in Gero.
If anyones keen it's well worth the trip.

We had 2,299 in our last match against WP in 2011.
Hopefully something like that again would be a good result.
I did notice back in 1985 we had 7,970 against Claremont.

It will be promoted in the local newspaper the Geraldton Guardian featuring local lad Mitch Boyle.

The game will also be covered by 91.3fm.
