Here's what WAFL Manager Cameron Knapton said about the changes to the TPP and who the marquee players are at the WAFL Season Launch this morning.

"In the off season we worked hard with the clubs to review or TPP (formerly the salary cap) and we introduced a new criteria there, the marquee player being the feature of that. We have also had some changes to the veterans allowance and included a range of other benefits that the clubs can include in the player contracts. The great benefit of these changes is that we have been able to lure or retain quality players in our competition."

Claremont - Mark Seaby

East Fremantle - Brad Dalziell

East Perth - Josh Smith

Peel Thunder - James Hawksley

Perth - Paul Bevan

South Fremantle - Ashton Hams

Subiaco - Wayde Twomey

Swan Districts - Tallan Ames

West Perth - Andrew Krakour

Some good names there - and also there is quite a few at each of the clubs who weren't allocated that crown as well

Who is Hawksley-never heard of him

He was on Brisbane's list for a couple of years I think.

Edit: 32 games and 6 goals for the Lions between 2008-2012.

You would have seen him. He's the Peel backman who had the very big ginger beard last year.

Hawksley looks equally scruffy this year, likes to swing his arms around and connect with opposition rib cages as often as possible.
