Round 9 review online now.

Highlights this week include Swans first 7-1 start to a season in nearly 30 years, Claremont worst percentage at round 9 for almost 60 years, Peel breaking anoth long losing streak and keeping South Fremantle to their lowest ever score against themselves, Perth and East Fremantle who both amazingly started the match with 998 goals each in games between each othe at Lathalin Park notch up their 1000th goals against each other at the ground whilst the sharks extend the best league match up winning streak to 10 games, and Subiaco and WP record their 38th consecutive game where both teams score less than 100 points.

Now that all teams have played each other once, how's a good time to check out the season records page to check how each team is traveling in 2014!

Now as for FootyFacts on WP V EP game not going to even bother with them as they are distorted due to the Alignment being in place and not a Level Playing field anyway so the Facts amount to nothing in context

Hey Cardy. Yep been supplying the sportfm guys a pile of stats for WAFL world and their broadcasts as well as the WAFL who are tweeting and posting on Facebook some too.

I found this interesting fact today, when researching for round 11.

Swan Districts, East Perth, Subiaco and East Fremantle hold the top 4 spots on the ladder after round 10. This is only the second time ever that these teams have occupied the top 4 positions in this order! Other time was after round 2, 1981 (see pic attached). They have occupied the top four, although in a different order, 26 other times.

There was one other time, at the completion of the 1961 final series, that these teams occupied the first 4 spots. Swans first premiership season. The final end of season ladder of 1961 in a good omen to swans this year, is very similar to the current WAFL ladder. It finished SD, EP, S, EF, WP, P, C, SF; swap C and SF and add Peel to the bottom and you have the current ladder!
