If EP or Peel dont finish top 2 they have under achieved and the Eagles and Dockers will have major depth problems.

Will be strong at the start of the year but as the season goes they will be relying on their depth and Peel especially have none. EP will limp to the end of the season, might scrape into the finals but get bundled. Peel will be worse than Cunderdin reserves by about round 12-15.

At least he is passionate.

I find it amazing that all the things we have been saying about the alignment , East Perth and Peel being too strong, Players not wanting to stay at those clubs, people like Hagdorn (whom i dont even rate) are now stating the obvious. (all too late).

Hackdorn to put it as politely and as forthrightly as one can Hackdorn is an absolute DISGRACE. Nowhere in any of his article prior to the decision being made was there a single note from him that it would be detrimental to the WAFL competition. Multi-faceted in the extreme.

Raitt probably did his best was to diplomatic though. WAFC were always going to get there way. I hope Raponi gets it. At least he he stands up for the WAFL and you cannt crack him for having a view that some dont share.

Good to see Cometti denouncing this host club arrangement again in the paper. He seems to be the only one in mainstream media on our side. As Cometti says it will reduce the standard of the comp with players like Seal and Sweet not playing. How can that be good for those 2 AFL vultures.

Cometti has been against it from the start. It you can't find articles about it then don't believe me. I'm sure others on here can back me up. He was the only W.A. sports journo to disagree with it apart from a few on the ABC like Ken Judge and Clint Wheeldon. On the other side they were lining up for their master Mr Nisbett. You had Hagdorn, Vlahos, Langdon, Gossage, Butler, Duffield etc sll saying it won't harm the WAFL. And more importantly it will help the AFL sides. Absolute WANK.
