So I find that yet another young local system product has been "swindled" down to the Mandurah scum , forced to pull on a maggot jumper , forced to endure 60 klm drives each week to perform in front of retards and inbreds with two heads who would cheer rats farting if it meant success at any level.
I also see other clubs tyros scuttled off to the Eagle filth - only to realistically play 2 seasons of ressies (and force another promising local junior to ammo's or country footy)

And they all wonder why I have such an intense burning & seething hatred of this AFL club partnership model - deepest commiserations for the WAFL clubs who lost players to those two cockroach clubs

Isn't it interesting that neither of them lost players themselves - funny co-incidence or no need situation ????

Fark off WC & FFC - you are cockroaches , relocate to Vicco

I really don't understand fans not being happy when one of their own players get an AFL gig....even if that means them playing at another WAFL club in the process..if Vandeleur was my kid I'd be wrapped for him going to Freo or WCE......even more so because he stayed in WA and was near family.

....people need to stop whinging.....and this is coming from an EF fan who is gonna have to grin and bear seeing up to 6 - 8 local EF lads(Brennan, Menagola, Simpson, Duffy, Sheppard, Griffen,Ibbottsen et al) probably wearing Peel and EP jumpers next year.....how many SF boys are you gonna see Southerner next year in the same boat..... 3 tops.....big deal.....move on!!......just get SF to stop producing quality colts boys and you won't having anything to whinge about!! ;).....

Tom Vandaleur should be playing with his original club Freeze - so should all draftees if not getting an AFL gig
Now is it whingeing or voicing/typing an opinion ????? And do you drop your head, fall into a stupor then bend over & accept an alignment reaming or do you stand up and give it with everything you've got ????
Your choice Freeze as I have mine ... I'm standing up mate - call it what you like though eh.

Cheers!

glad you are voicing your opinion Southerner.....that's what this forum is for.....but I ask you again.....SF are gonna lose how many again to the colours of Peel and EP?....farkin minimal in my eyes compared to what EF are gonna be losing.....hate to see what you would be like when SF lose more than three.......christ a coronary in the making I reckon!!

admire your passion, but TBH are you really standing up?.........standing up means doing something meaningful......venting your spleen on a website aint that mate.....it's called having a whinge.....if that's giving everything you have got, then christ you must have keyboard RSI!!......

as for being reamed?.....mmmmm I think the AFL has been doing that to most WAFL diehards since 1987 when WCE was born......and you can't tell me you haven't watched one AFL game in that time? ;) if you have, then really you are no better than the rest of us!!......

..... I admire your passion and understand your fustration.....but TBH would you be happy if your son accepted mediocrity when they had a chance of improving themselves.....no matter what process was necessary?.......sit back, watch and take pride in the likes of Main and Vandeleur developing their AFL careers.....no different to McCarthy, Johnson, Kersten, Shaw etc......they are still SFFC boys no matter what the AFL says or does!!

Shit yeah of course I have watched an AFL game ... not for over a year now apart from highlight packages or clips on the news - but yes no lying allowed down Freo way is there Freeze mate.I will just keep giving coin to Souths as I can , do what I can against the alignment.

As for your Old Easts losing younguns' - yes you will lose a heap to shit#1 & shit#2 and that's crap , pure crap given the pathways provided at your club .... more than South that's true

Fark I would love to carc it giving a spray to either Shit #1 or Shit #2 when we play them at Freo Oval ( I wouldn't hand over my coin at their grounds )... almost as good as having a shag and carcing it hahaha B)

Honestly as much as I am happy our kids got the chance , I won't be happy seeing them playing elsewhere in the WAFL mate , just being honest as there Freeze ... I would be far happier watching them play for the Vicco sides but understand why they would like to play in front of family over here for sure!

Hope this helps you champion !

Well said Southerner. Im on your side. I was quiet happy to see the two WP boys go over east and not have to play for EP of Peel.
Sad that it has come to this because in other years i preferred that WP boys be pick up by the Eagles or Dockers.
As i have said it is going to be hard watching Kepler play for Peel as he is a Falcon through and through. As it will hard watching Hutchy playing for the ferals.
I feel sorry for EF and Cl supporters having to watch there players in different colours.

Okay Freezin I will try once again to see if I can make you understand what I feel and I am sure a lot of other WAFL supporters feel about the alignment situation. Currently, Swans is in a fairly parlous financial position (nothing to do with the alignment). Swans' supporters including myself will be reaching into our pockets to support the club during this time. What incentive is it for us given that we potentially could have the likes of Walter, Naitanui, Pearce etc play against us in the WAFL? A situation which I am 99.99% sure those named players would not want either.

To exacerbate the situation is that the premise for the host club situation is patently nonsensical and false.

The reality is that most players drafted have a very limited life span in the AFL and with the host club alignment it is more likely that when a player is delisted, after say 5 years, they will remain in their aligned club rather than go back to their original WAFL club. Hence, the desire by myself and others that the players get recruited by non-WA domiciled AFL clubs.

It is going to be a very interesting 2014 season with the alignment. I for one don't agree with it and never will, that's me.
Seeing Woody do his thing in the colts and then having a go in the league was great. I was starting to think this guy is going to be great for us next year, then you read he has been picked up by Fremantle and if he isn't playing for them, he'll be playing for Peel!
I say, good on you Woody and all the other guys that got picked up by the Eagles and Fremantle, as it is well deserved but it will be difficult seeing those players play against our teams.
Love to know what the players in question think about it??
One positive thing about this alignment to me is, now the coaches of the G7 teams can have full control of their teams again, like it was before the VFL expansion.
No more being dictated to by AFL coaches on where that player will play, how long for, etc, etc.
It use to get right up my nose when a player would get dropped back into the WAFL and even if he wasn't good enough to make the league team, you HAD to play him. If not, the club was threatened with the possibility of that player being shifted to another club.
Never liked the VFL/AFL and never will.
