Yes, very sad to see that some WA lads that have family history at a WAFL club, now have to go and pull on a jumper for the filth

Couldn't agree any more. The sad thing about a lot of people on here is they still think its 1983 not 2013

Do you really reckon the draftee is worried about that. Get your head out of the sand. His prospects of a successful AFL career have improved significantly.

Personally I find the passion of us diehards in here very heartening actually .... I find it hard to blame some of the members in here for the occasional flare up , some like me are old school WANFL folks to the core and beyond - it's very difficult to cop the VFL (oh sorry how foolish of me ... the GayFL) and their disregard and manipulation.

Fark the Eagles and fark the FFC .... go to hell with your host clubs by the ankles (which by the way I consider all 4 of you to be ... ANKLES - 3 foot lower than c***s!)

You mean 1963 don't you.Get used to it fellas. The hate for the AFL is very strong here and abuse is rife.

Would be great if the league could adapt to survive but when you read some posts on here it is easy to see why the league struggles and is slowly dying. Would love someone to take charge and make SANFL type changes regardless of the backlash from those stuck in the past.

Don't know why anyone is blaming the AFL for the host club arrangements?? It is a WAFC idea and then WAFL decision.

I love the AFL, am a member of Freo and have been since 1995 but love my WAFL and my SFFC.

As I have said before all anger should be directed at the VFL from the 1980's who took the WAFL's best and forced us to form the AFL to try and keep some WA plyers here, hence the WCE.

I would much rather wce and Freo have their own team in the WAFL so the "9" WAFL sides are untouched and the only issue we have is that any players drafted are lost to the WAFL AFL sides. At least we still get the draft money (and more if we agreed to let them have their own sides) and we aren't helping another WAFL club get better at the original club's expense.

Of course I want a mix of SF flags and SF players playing AFL but it is a fine balance hey? Fremantle of late haven't picked many local which shits me because I want more Fremantle in the FFC. (Marsh, Shaw, Kersten etc) It used to be a huge bonus if Freo or WCE drafted a SF bloke because they got to stay a bulldog for ever while they were getting ready for the big time. Now they are off to play against you under another WAFL club's name and jumper. I know that it doesn't sit well at all with some families.

REVERSE the decision and let wce and freo have their own teams in the afl. Then all 9 wafl clubs are in tact and can actually combine together to beat them each Saturday. The only reason they can't is because they wouldn't be able to field a team each week as injuries mounted. How will Adelaide do it in the SANFL?

I feel gutted for the EP supporters. They have no choice. All wins will be hollow and 12-15 players each week wearing the EP jumper won't be from EP or really want to wear it anyway.

Thank god SF tried a watered down version and pissed it off and didn't need the cash or it could be us quite easily in 2014.
SFFC - WOOF WOOF

The WAFL presidents had their chance to compromise they elected to try and wrestle a two tonne gorilla. That means the competition is stuffed and clubs will be up that smelly creek soon. I can't see any way out in the short term.

We are allowed to voice our opinions anchor. Let's face it, you're the first to complain when someone cans you for putting forward your opinion. So to you knockers that don't like people who think differently, get a life and go bag yer ferken heads

Yes sport, I do believe that a lad that has a long standing family association with a club would be a tad peed off. It's all about family tradition. You obviously have no allegiances, so if you want to find out a bit about this stuff, I'm sure there's a book you could buy and read about it.

The way I see it the wafl presidents didn't get much of a chance at all. They came to the table willing to negotiate, knocked back offers that they rightly considered unreasonable and lacking important details, and then basically had no say in the final decision. Yes they elected to wrestle a two tonne gorilla but I would call that self defence.
