With the second semi final being fixed as Claremont V West Perth at Tigerland, the venue and participants for the first semi is dependant on the combination of results of 3 games this weekend. Heres how it goes for each of these combinations. I've worked out 8 possible scenarios

1. If the winners are SD,EP C. First Semi will be SD V EP at Basso
2. SD, S, C SD v EP - Basso again
3. SD ,EP, EF SD V EP - Basso
4. SD, S, EF , SD v EF - Basso
5. WP, EP, C, EP V SD - Medibank
6. WP, S, C SD v EP - Basso
7. WP, EP,EF EP v EF - Medibank
8. WP, S, EF EF V SD - East Freo

So Swans are in all but 1 of those potential 8 scenarios and East Fremantle could still host a final if the results go their way. You would think that Scenarios 1, 3, 5 and 7 are the most likely as I cant see Subiaco upsetting East Perth a few weeks after copping a 10 goal hiding from them, but I suppose after last week you just never know?

The ressies will be very interesting. Firstly there is a battle between Souths and East Perth for 2nd spot. Both these teams are on 48 points You would have to favour the royals to take that one though because the Doggies will have to beat top team Perth and East Perth play 2nd bottom team Subiaco. Also Souths have only a very slender percentage advantage so even if they beat the Demons, they could be overtaken by East Perth if they win big over Subi.

4th spot in the ressies could be one of three teams, West Perth, East Fremantle or Swans. If West beat Swans then they are in. If the Falcon's lose, this opens the way up for the Sharks to snatch fourth spot if they can beat Claremont. Swans would have to beat West Perth by a reasonable margin ( they are a game and 3% behind WP) and hope that Claremont beat the Sharks.

The colts is much more clear cut with only 4th spot in dispute. Claremont will play the Bulldogs in the 2nd semi and Perth will play either Subiaco or East Fremantle in the first semi. Subiaco would be the favourite as they are equal on points with the Sharks, have a small percentage advantage and have an easier game ( v EP 7th) than East Freo who have to front the ladder leading Tigers
